Do You Need A Getaway Weekend?

Wouldn't it be great to relax and hang out with women who "get it" about widowhood? Why not join me along with other widow friends who read this blog for a getaway weekend in December? I'd love for you to come! Our schedule is subject to change but it will be very casual and centered around fellowship, food, and fun!

  1. Ferree and I met through her blog several years ago and finally met face to face at a widows convention in Knoxville. Both of us were several years into our "widowhood" and I was looking for ways to share my experiences with other young widows. Ferree and I have since become friends and I was able to visit with her at her home in Florence. Ferree is a living testimony not only to surviving widowhood, but to becoming a beacon in the night to new and young widows.
Also, if you plan on coming to the retreat, plan of staying for church on Sunday. Ferree's church has the BEST choir ever. I found myself wishing I lived closer to Florence, just to go to her church. Hope to meet some of you in December.

  2. Ferree is sweet and dear lady, I've had the chance to visit Ferree at her home and meet her beautiful fur babies that day. She is a gracious hostess. She is a beautiful strong Christian woman whom I think of as a good friend. I hope to get to see many of you dear ladies at the weekend getaway.

  4. Thank you my friends! I'm sure it might seem kind of strange to just go meet people that you've met through a blog, but about a dozen are signed up already, and as the last commenter stated, we really are going to enjoy ourselves and laugh a lot. Kleenex boxes will be out too, just in case, and everyone will understand. It'll be a beautiful and meaningful weekend in every way. If you can make it, you will make some lifelong friends. I hope you can come! :)
