One Way to Find Rest

Build a little fence
of trust
Around today;

Fill the space with loving work,
And therein stay;

Look not through the sheltering
bars

Upon to-morrow;
God will help thee bear what
comes

Of joy or sorrow.

Mary France Butts (1836-1902)

God took a day of rest; He ordered a day of rest in the 10 Commandments.

You might not be creating the Earth or leading the exodus of Israel, but you are dealing with a new phase of life.

Working through grief is emotionally, spiritually and physically exhausting! We especially need to follow God's pattern of rest for body and soul.

Build that little fence and rest well this weekend, dear one.
