The Blessing Jar - Summer 2014

I hope you've joined me in filling a jar of good stuff this year.
Today's the first day of Summer on the calendar, that means it's time to check our jars.
And, we're officially halfway through 2014!
How's it going for you?
My jar saw me putting in a bunch of "blessings" last month. They were the James 1:2 sort of blessings though---Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials...
I'm still waiting on the outcomes, but I know God's in control and nothing is wasted.

Somedays it's hard to find good or happiness, but
Counting our "blessings" and cultivating gratitude
is a proven help for getting through these days.

  1. I have a 'thank-you Jesus' journal. It does help to write blessings down.

Have a lovely weekend ~ FlowerLady

  2. When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
I go so sleep counting my blessings ~

When my bankroll is getting small
I remember when I had nothing at all
I go to sleep counting my blessings

    Counting my blessings
    Instead of sheep
    Makes for a joyful night
    Of peaceful sleep ~

  3. I like the thought of counting my blessings instead of sheep, think I'll try that next time I'm having trouble going to sleep.

I have not started a Blessings Bottle, even though I did read about it in January, I was not in the right mind set at that time. I think now having accepted that I'm now walking in a new chapter in my life I will start my Blessings Bottle.
