In Memory of Kevin Johnson
Husband
In 2005 Kevin developed a rare blood cancer that attacked his heart. He had 2 heart transplants and 2 stem cell transplants and recovered from them miraculously. On January 13th of 2010 Kevin developed an infection that took his life. The Kevin Wade Johnson Foundation has a mission to spread the saving gospel of our Lord Jesus and glorify His name through Christian missions and organ donation awareness.

ReplyDeleteOn Tues eve Dale & I were watching the news and they were telling a story about a lady who had died in an auto accident & her husband had donated her organs and they showed a picture of the lady who received her heart so now had the chance for a good life. Dale turned to me and said, "We need to sign the back of our driver's license so our organs will be donated when we die". I told him that was a great idea and we would do that. Then he turned to me and said, "but I have to die before you because you can go on without me but I could never go on without you". The next Sat I was donating his organs. The people I spoke to were very compasionate and the Dr assured me we would not notice anything on his body in his casket and we couldn't; he looked perfect. I received a letter stating that 85 people benefited from some part of him. I was amazed. One example: A lady who had been waiting for a kidney for 5 years now had a new one. It was a satisfying experience knowing that so manygsidhor had benefited from his death and I would recommend it to anyone.
