Dear Friend,
Last week I shared the story of a widow who put out a big Valentine bouquet year of a dozen red roses marked with a love note:
"I have loved you with an everlasting love." (Jer. 31:3)
Did you get to read it? It's right here if you'd like to see it. I highlighted the "love letter" part of it too.
At first glance, someone might think a widow and a bouquet of red roses to remind her of God's love is just sweet and sentimental. But you and I know the hard-fought battleground behind it all and the months of healing for her body and broken heart. But that's what God does. He heals the broken-hearted.
How will they be healed if they never read his love letters?
This week let's focus on love letters shall we? As we move through the week we'll touch on these three kinds:
- God's love letter to us
- Love letters we saved from our courtship and marriage
- Valentines, thank you notes, encouragement, or letters to friends and family
