Empowerment for Widows

Best Birthday ever! 

  • I got to go to OHIO 
  • and there was SNOW 
  • and Andrea (who also relocated but was with me in our Sassy Widows Group in South Carolina) 
  • and Plain Values magazine (a magazine for which I've written a widows column for the past 4 years)
  • and new, amazing friends I got to meet at the seminar Broken Restoration women's group hosted at Fairlawn Mennonite Church in Apple Creek. 

People talk about EMPOWERMENT FOR WOMEN all the time but this weekend God DID IT as 60 women (many were Amish!) gathered together to shine a light on our stories of sorrow and God's precious love for us! I am pumped to start year 64 !!! Thank you, everyone who prayed for this weekend, and for all the Happy Birthday wishes!

Each lady who attended received a copy of my book and I was reminded once again that God comforted me so I could pass along that comfort with the powerful dynamic of Postcards from the Widows' Path.
