Help From God

Here are just a few of God's promises---When we can no longer ask our husband, we can ask the Lord---

For a relationship with Christ--If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 (NLT)

For a fresh start--But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. I John 1:9 (NLT)

For relief from fatigue--Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT)

For power--Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
II Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)

For help with a decision--If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. James 1:5 (NLT)

For peace of mind--You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)

For provision--And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (NLT)

For comfort--God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4 (NLT)

For answers to prayer--You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy. John 16:24 (NLT)

Trust God and His promises. I know that's easy to say, but not easy to do-- especially when your heart is broken. But here's one more promise: The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Psalm 34:18 (NLT)

What promise from God are you trusting for today? It's great to hear from you! ferree

  1. Someone who commented on my blog pointed me to your site. My sweet husband who was 30 years old just suddenly passed away 7 months ago leaving me a widow with 3 precious boys under 3. So grateful for the amazing hope we have in Jesus and His word! Thank you for using your pain for His glory!
