A Love Song for You

Jesus loves me
This I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to Him belong
They are weak
But He is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me
Yes, Jesus loves me
Yes, Jesus love me
The Bible tells me so.

Little one, may your heart be lifted to rest in this simple truth today.

  1. This is a great reminder to come to Jesus as a little child. Most if not all of us learned this song as children, and it is a song we should keep close to our hearts to remind us of God's unfailing love.

  2. How wonderful to see these words of praise again. I learned them in Bible School when I was a child. I wrote them down in my journal a few months ago when I was feeling misunderstood. Before my husband died, I could share little hurts and dings encountered in the real world and he was there to comfort me. But on the day I wrote these song lyrics down, I had turned to God using the words as a written reminder to me that He comforts me now and always has. He sent Tony to me long ago and I was comforted then. Just sharing things is very comforting when we feel understood. I think I will make this sweet simple song as my "default" song in times of need.

  3. Well said, Sheila, life becomes worth living again when we discover the truth of this little tune. I love your idea about defaulting to it---could you program that into me too? hugs to you ;)
