Friday Fun: Get Ready to Celebrate

Friday Funnies serve as a little reminder that someday you will be able to smile again. Someday you will laugh. And even now, if a grin twitches on your face--it's OK! You have permission to be OK, to be happy again. God created you with hope and resilience. The pain will subside, the memories will become precious, life will renew. Eventually.

In the meantime, people are awfully silly, so I want to let you know to watch out for next Friday, Feb. 28. Someone has ordained it as "Public Sleeping Day." (No one will admit to it). In spite of it's dubious origins, I hope you're not too tired to participate! Take full advantage of the holiday. Or, if you're like me, take full advantage of the sleepers taking full advantage of the holiday!

I get all mischeivious thinking about this. Remember all the Jr. High jokes to play on sleepers? How about spray their hand full of shaving cream and tickle their nose while they're sleeping . . . or gently place their hand in a bucket of warm water and see if they wet their pants. . . If their mouth is open you can see how many tiny little wads of paper you can toss in before they wake up and start spitting . . . So by now you know you don't want to invite me to your pajama parties.

On the other hand, I think it will be a lovely day for a cat nap, or puppy nap. Be sure to mark your calendars, send cards, bake cakes or sleep in! Let's practice up for it!  ferree

  2. That's a good one, Swans, I don't think I'd have wanted to be with me either! And probably why I'm too scared to fall asleep in public to this day! lol Truth be told, tho, we always got to laughing too hard to actually pull any tricks like those. <3

  4. In High School we had our monthly Home Economics meeting with refreshments, my girlfriend and I went to the cafeteria to get cokes out of the vending machine, however one of the drinks was supposed to have been a Dr.Pepper . . . so instead of making an extra trip quite a ways back down the hall to get more money..... we just walked over to the empty cases of bottles and washed out a Dr.Pepper bottle and filled it with coke. This is so funny..... she never knew it until the end of the school year. :-)) Dodi
