Blog Highlights for Widows

Have you survived a natural disaster? My friend Rachel compares widowhood to a flood in her blog, A Way In The Wilderness. Discover along with her how God is the architect and builder of a widow's new life.

What about drinking, overeating, gambling, etc? At A Widow's Pursuits, Cindy talks about the consequences of unhealthy behaviors and how a growing faith in God rescued her. Be sure to click the Home tab on her blog for the latest posts.

I'm reminded over and over how God spreads comfort through each of us. He ordains us as channels of His love! Can you imagine that? When we feel and learn healing truths of God from other people, it's because God himself is loving and leading us.

In my Bible I've subtitled the book of II Corinthians as "The Power of Weakness." When we are weak with suffering, God's power---believe it or not!---can strongly shine through us.

I hope you'll receive good comfort and guidance from the godly people in your life today, and from the blog links I've posted here. And may we all be surprised to find that God's comfort overflows through us today too.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.
II Corinthians 1:3-5
