Fashion Meets Faith

I need to tell you more about yesterday's  Color E-nalysis ---Shari Braendel and her Fashion Meets Faith website is a real treasure! The more I dig into her website, the more I find!

"One of the most empowering Christian events available to women today--Christian women's speaker - author - style expert, Shari Braendel has a message of deep compassion. Her message is inspiring and her testimony, moving as she helps women and girls of all ages to appreciate their beauty, discover their natural assets, and learn what to wear so they can look and feel their best!"

You might be thinking ...Fashion? For widows? Come on! Don't push this stuff on me, I've got more important things to worry about---like trying to make ends meet, trying to beat these overwhelming emotions, trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do with the next 40 years of loneliness...

But, you know me---if I didn't think this could help you with all of those things, I wouldn't mention it. I've been following Shari's ministry for a couple years now, and something in her latest newsletter put all the pieces together for me. Maybe it will for you, too!

So click here to take a look at her newsletter---Scroll way down, and there at the end is what caught my attention---the cancer survivor's story. You might not have had a masectomy, but many widows are "cancer survivors," of a sort too, even though their husband's didn't recover.

Here's why I think this resource is invaluable for widows:
Trying to make ends meet? Shari's wealth of advice can help us spend our limited funds more wisely and get more for our money.
Trying to beat the overwhelming emotions? The natural beauty she helps you discover will encourage your heart and help you begin to dwell on the transforming whatever is lovely perspective of Philippians 4:8, resulting in God's peace (Phil. 4:9).
And finally, the next 40 years of loneliness? As you begin to discover who you are again, and how God created you and how He delights in your beauty (because, yes, you are beautiful!), God's plans for you will begin to unfold and they do not include spending the rest of your life in isolation and loneliness.

Whether it's the Beauty Boot Camp Makeover Retreat in August, (which I myself am attending and I'd love to meet with you there), or an online course, free newsletter, free color analysis, a group seminar, or even training for a career as a Christian image consultant, I hope you'll look into this resource and take advantage of how it can be of help to you.

If you register for Beauty Boot Camp Makeover Retreat, please email me at WCplace@gmail.com. I do not receive any compensation for your attendance. At least one other widow I know of is going so you will not be alone! I'm really looking forward to meeting her and I'd love to meet you too!   ferree
