I have one little story to tell you about the book. Did you notice the feather on the front cover and how we used it as a motif throughout the chapters? Well, when I first saw that feather I didn't think anything except that it took up some space with a good artistic flair. I wondered about replacing it with something else, but then time got away from me, and I figured, "Oh just leave it. It's not hurting anything."
But, God had a better purpose for that feather than I did! I wanted to autograph the book with a Bible reference that would be a code for "Hope." As I thought and prayed about it, I remembered what Boaz told Ruth in Ruth 2:12 --May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge."
Aha! Wings! And what are wings full of? Feathers! It's like the feather in my book floated right down from the Lord to remind me how the Lord took care of Ruth.
But that wasn't the verse I used to autograph the books with. Instead, I found this verse which I want to leave you with today. As you know, I use every Saturday to remind widows of the need to rest physically, emotionally and spiritually. As we think about the Sabbath "rest" we need every weekend, the following verse provides us with the refuge we need in order to rest. We can't rest when we're pumped with adrenalin and running for our lives. But God will cover us, He'll be our refuge and protection.
His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. (Psalm 91:4)
That feather on my book wasn't my idea, but it's a great reminder of God, our refuge and rest.

Not only are you getting personal but you are making the book more personal to us. You know?
It's really nice to learn about these blessings and how they came to be. Again..the more you share...well..it's like adding little inspirational notes to your book. It just brings in a deeper feeling and your book brings on a new deeper level of inspiration.
So as God calls you to do so and your heart nudges you....keep sharing your blessings between you and your book.
I do not believe there is such thing as a coincidence. I think every little thing that happens, no matter how we view it, is from God.
By the way..your verse:
"He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. (Psalm 91:4)

How interesting, Ferree! Over the past several days, I have been inspired to write some Haiku and the thought of feathers and "under His wings" came to mind. I dismissed the idea because it didn't seem to fit. I think I need to revisit my writing and ask the Lord if He is trying to tell me something. Psalm 91 was very important to Buck and i during his illness.

There are signs from God all around us, and truths that He wants us to accept and take comfort in. It's cool to see God speaking to all of you too. He has a way of making sure we stumble across the same verse or phrase when He wants to give us a special direction or touch. thanks y'all, its great to hear from you!
