Where There is Faith - 4Him
A widow friend posted this on Facebook a few days ago. She and her husband sang this song together way back when (it's from the '80's as you can tell with the hair and fashion!) But the sweet thing for her was wondering this: when the Lord had her learn that song--was it not only so she could sing it in church with her husband back then, but also so that the words and memory of it would minister to her today?
When we've been born again through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit dwells within. He is our counsellor and comforter. He ministers to us with the Word of God through Bible verses we've memorized and, I believe, also through truthful gospel music. Lately, I've been saying "Thank You, Lord," when a song like this comes across my mind. It's words speak truth, comfort and encouragement to me, and provide strength and purpose to face the day.
Listen for the special phrases from this song that God would use to speak to your heart today. What songs does the Lord use to touch you with His love? I'd love to hear about them.
Rest in Him this weekend.
