In God's Hand

Dear Reader,
Working through grief is emotionally, spiritually and physically exhausting! Rest is good and this is our reminder. I myself need a little rest, so I'm reposting this fabulous video from last year.
Take a few minutes today to "be still" as the psalmist says. The 3 minute video below will help you do just that as you view the beauty of God's creation. Mike Gerringer, who's story about his grandparents was featured on Wednesday, put it together from his hiking and wildlife research ventures.

As you view it, remind yourself of these verses . . .

Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands . . .

Job 19:7-10  . . . ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you . . In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind . . .

Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Here's the youtube link if it's taking too long in the inbedded one here.

May you find kindness and rest this weekend,
ferree

  1. Rest is so important, God's rest. I find when I'm not resting in God, or even physically resting life gets overwhelming. Thanks for the reminder. -Jenn: ruths-road.blogspot.com
