C.A.S.T.ing Our Cares On The Lord Prayer #3

C.A.S.T. PRAYING
Call upon me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you will honor me.
Psalm 50:15 (NIV)

(Words to pray are in italics).

Dear God, If this isn't a day of trouble, it's mighty high on the scale. But I can call on you--the Almighty Lord, my Creator, my Savior. Fulfill your promise to deliver me. Work in my life for your glory and my good. Open my eyes to your ways so that I will praise and honor you.

CONFESSION

He who conceals his sins does not prosper but whoever confessses and renounces them find mercy. Proverbs 28:13

Lord, my country is flattened by fear of a thing we can't even see with the naked eye. Or is it because we have no fear of you? But I don't need to point fingers at anyone but myself. Please let me confess and renounce the following things:__________________Bring them to the light of your forgiveness through Jesus Christ and grant me mercy.
(If you are praying with a group this part of the confessing is done silently by the individuals. After a few moments of silent prayer the leader would sensitively move the group on to Adoration).

ADORATION

I lift up my eyes to the hills--
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord;
the Maker of heaven and earth.  Psalm 121:1-2

O Lord, as I envision majestic hills and mountains which you have made, surely I will one day see you towering over them to help and rescue me. You are the Lord, the Lord and Maker of all! Of things above, and things below and things beyond my imagination. Surely nothing is impossible with you. I have no words to describe your infinite power and majestic glory.

SUPPLICATION

Teach me...
Give me...
Direct me...
Turn my heart...
Turn my eyes...
preserve my life...
fulfill your promise...
Take away the disgrace...
Revive me... Psalm 119:33-40

God, I desperately need you just like the one who wrote this psalm. Hear my plea as I go through each one of these requests and put it in my own words for my unique circumstances. Teach me, give me, direct me, turn me, preserve me, but most of all revive me. All your promises are good, all your promises are fulfilled and will come true. Take away my shame, replace it with your grace.

THANKSGIVING

You are my God, and I will give you thanks; You are my God, and I will exalt you. Psalm 118:28

O Lord, you belong to me? I belong to you? You are my God, I can never thank you enough. Thank you especially though, for these three things today 1.______2.______3.______

Amen

Thank you, dear reader, for joining me in prayer today. This is just a brief outline and I trust you've filled it in with your own heart cries as I have. And I hope that if you've ever been shy about praying or wondering what you'd say, you now know that God has done most of the work for us. Put it in your own words and use these prayers from Scripture to agree and converse with the Lord. May God's will be done in our lives, in our nation and around the world as he answers our prayers today.
