"Strength Of My Heart" from Rend Collective (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO)

On Saturdays I want to remind you to prepare your heart for a time of worship and rest on the weekend, especially after 4th of July yesterday. We need some rest! God invites us over and over again to Rest in Him, and especially for widows to enter His rest, (Ruth 1:9).

As you listen to this music video today, you'll notice phrases from the song contained in the verses below---it's a very biblical song! I really enjoyed catching the phrases (in bold) and going to BibleGateway.com. When I got there I typed the words into the search box to find the verse in the New International Version (NIV), but you may select from any version; you might find that a real blessing too. I urge you to try it sometime. Until then, just listen in, and let God's rest minister to your spirit.

The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress Psalm 46:7

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling Psalm 68:5

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. Psalm 61:3

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
