Looking Ahead In March

Let's take a look at the calendar for March. Does it hold some significant days for you like an anniversary, birthday, or personal history? Do you follow Lent or Ash Wednesday? St. Patrick's Day? The first day of Spring? Don't forget the time change next Sunday...

All these days will "March" upon us, but rather than have them take us by surprise, be aware. If you want to treat them like just another day, that's a valid option. If you want to do something special, give it some consideration. The thing is, you have a choice. Exercising that choice is a step towards life.

This March as you begin to see the grass turn green, the crocus bulbs push through and open their purple flowers to the sun, take hope and remember that God makes all things new... even you. If you've already believed in Christ as your Savior from sin, begin to spend time in the Bible and learn to know Him as your Savior of everything: each step, each memory, each breath, each tear...
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul...

  1. This is my birth month, I was born a month early, born on the first day of spring, March 20th. My husband and I also met on my 17th birthday.

    Last year I went to a botanical garden on my birthday, this year I might be working. Friends are taking me out to a wonderful little Thai restaurant. I will be 65, so Medicare is kicking in. :-)

    I was born 15 months to the day after my husband, he was born Dec. 20th. On the 9th of this month, it will be 15 months since he left this planet for his heavenly home.

    I miss him daily, but God has been my strength, seeing me through each and every day and for that I am very thankful. Each day is a gift and I want to age gracefully, seeing the love and beauty in each day.

    Love and hugs to all ~ FlowerLady
