Easy Gift Recipe to the Rescue!

If you need a super-quick, super-great treat to take to a party, try these turtle candies. A young southern widow makes them every year and she shared her  recipe with me.

Here's all it takes: 1 small pretzel + 1 Rolo candy + 1 pecan half

Here's all you do:
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  3. Place a Rolo on top of each pretzel and bake for 4 minutes.
  4. Place a pecan half on top of the Rolo and smoosh it down.
  5. Let the chocolate harden back up and try not to eat too many!
Sometimes starting to bake or make things for others is a helpful way to work out those blah- can't- wait- to- get- this- day- over- and- done- with feelings.

Hang in there, and if you're having a hard time today, e-mail me or talk about it with the friends who understand on our Facebook group, Lifeboat. Lifeboat is a private group that doesn't appear in any searches, so if you'd like to join in, please send me a friend request on Facebook. Mention "Lifeboat" and I'll accept your request and add you in as soon as I can.
