The Silence of Saturdays

I'm guessing you used to look forward to Saturdays. TGIF, a little R&R, hammocks and hobbies...
Saturdays are a lot different when widowed. Maybe you're the one behind the lawn mower now-- if you can get the darn thing to start. Or you've got three kids with different places to be all at the same time! How does that work?

But amidst the chaos and craziness, do you find a big silent vortex? Loneliness? A hovering cloud of oppression? An undercurrent of anxiety? Then I know you'll find this blog post by Stillhope to be a wonderful meditation on another view of Saturdays---Silence Before the Song.

Silent Saturdays won't last forever. If you use this time wisely you'll look back on days turned to treasures, the waiting filled with grace.
