An Irish Blessing

Grief can be exhausting, so now is a practical time to begin the practice of a Sabbath rest. Although I'm past my grief now, I still do this, which is why I don't blog on Sundays. I urge everyone to use a Saturday or Sunday as a reminder to cut some time in your schedule for rest. Spend time with God by taking a few minutes to read a verse, say a prayer or just sit down for a moment of nothing. God understands silence, and sometimes even speaks into it.

With St. Patrick's Day upon us I found this lovely blessing from Island Irish. It puts into words my prayers for you.

Have a sweet and restful weekend and a Happy St. Patty's too!  ferree
In Time of Sorrow...
May you see God's light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
when the shadows fall—
You do not walk alone.

  4. Hi Gertrude,

I'm sorry you are not feeling well tonight. Is there anything I can do to help?

If you can scroll down to the post on Monday March 11th. There is a great post that may help you. The Title is "Low Spots in Grief".

I hope you will check back in here and will be able to write what you would have liked to.

    Here is something for you..

Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand
