The weekend is here, it's time to "Come apart before you come apart." Read a verse, say a prayer or just sit down for a moment of nothing.
Why not take a drive out in the country today or tomorrow? Consider the farmers and their fields. Depending on your part of the country, the crops might look wonderful and ready to harvest--or they might be withered from drought or burnt by wildfire. Sometimes our lives are like that too. Yet God and His faithfulness stand firm. We will reap what we sow; know that God has good plans for you. Eventually.
Hosea 10:12 (NIV)
Sow righteousness for yourselves,
reap the fruit of unfailing love,
and break up your unplowed ground;
for it is time to seek the Lord,
until he comes
and showers his righteousness on you.
reap the fruit of unfailing love,
and break up your unplowed ground;
for it is time to seek the Lord,
until he comes
and showers his righteousness on you.
Psalm 126:5 (NIV)
Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.
Genesis 8:22 (NIV)
As long as the earth endures,
As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter,
day and night will never cease.
Matthew 6:25-27 (NIV)
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life,
what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.
Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not much more valuable than they?
Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
