Resource: Bible Gateway

On Thursdays I refer to available and useful resources for widows. Today's resource is useful for everyone!

Bible Gateway is "a free service for reading and researching Scripture online--all in the language or translation of your choice!"

You'll also find a verse of the day, devotionals, and audio Bibles. The audio Bibles are great in case you like to listen to Scripture rather than read it--which is a good change of pace at times. And you can share audio Bibles with those who are vision-impaired.

Bible Gateway also provides Bible reading plans, Bible study reference materials such as commentaries and Bible dictionaries. It's a veritable FREE LIBRARY!

You know how you can look up a word in the concordance in the back of your Bible and then find the reference for the verse it belongs to? On Bible Gateway they're not limited to the few pages at the back of the Bible. They can do that with every word!

Plus, they provide a variety of Bible translations: NIV, NASV, KJV, NKJY, etc, etc, and probably some you've not yet heard of.

And they provide a variety of languages. You can read Scripture in your mother tongue, or you can share Bible verses with people in Spanish, French, Korean, Slovakian . . . all over the world
You're going to love this site. I urge you to visit it and try out all the features for yourself. What a treasure!

Choosing the anonymous identity is easiest if you do not have your own blog.
Using a computer rather than a cell phone seems to work better. Thanks again!
