Get A Lift With Beautiful Colors!

What did you wear to the funeral? The traditional Black? Well winter's coming soon, and one thing I dread about it is that the stores will be full of black. Black pants, black dresses, black jackets, bla bla black. (Sorry if you like black). Too much black drags me down.

Do you have a favorite color? When you look in your closet do particular shades of red, blue, green or yellow reveal your preferences? Or do you ever notice that an ocean blue helps you slow down and feel more serene while hot chili red raises your adrenalin?

Color has a tremendous influence on our moods and energy. Colors can also enhance the way we look--or they can make us look rather ill and pathetic.

If you are interested in how to bring out the beauty of the looks God gave you, let me encourage you to
take a free color analysis at:
Color E-nalysis

This analysis is in conjunction with a great new book that my favorite book blogger says is a "Must read for dressing well and feeling beautiful.

I haven't read it yet, but it's by a Christian author. If you get a chance to read it, please let me know how you like it! Maybe we can get together and write one called "Grieving Widows don't have to Dress Sad."

If you take the Free color analysis, list your result here, and also list your favorite colors! It'll be fun to see how everyone turns out! (I'm a "Soft" and my favorite colors are greens, golds, and reds).

  1. Oh, thank you for this post, dear Ferree!! Almost everything I own is black -- even my doctor commented on it the last time I was there and said, "Why are you wearing all black? Trying to tell me something?" I realized then I do not have to wear black, just because it is winter or I think it makes me look slimmer!! I have since bought colorful blouses, but I have yet to be so bold with the pants!! I still wear the dreaded black!!! I really needed the lift this post gave me --- I will surely surprise my doctor and probably cause her to grab her sunglasses next time I show up for an appointment!!!

  2. Polly you made me smile! If you dress as happy as the Lord shines through your personality, that doc WILL need her sunglasses next time! You should take a picture! :)
