The Worn Out Woman

On Thursdays you'll find great Christian resources here. Today I want to tell you real quick about a little book my friend Jane C. gave me. If you have a book, website or organization that has been a good help for you, please feel free to share. Mention it in the comment line below or email me. Thanks!

The Worn Out Woman: When Life is Full and Your Spirit is Empty by Dr. Steve Stephens and Alice Gray, Multnomah Books,2004

If you’re frazzled, drained, freaking out or having a melt down, grab this book. You’re not alone! This book is loaded with examples of real women going through the same stuff . You’ll find understanding, actual help, great ideas and my personal favorites: kindness and rest for your soul.

You can read the whole book; but just one bite-size chapter, pithy quote or idea will be worth the price of it. This book is jam-packed with practical value and readability, like having a best friend in your pocket.

You don't have to take my word for it, check out the reviews on amazon.com or Christianbooks.com.
I'd say order one for yourself and another for a friend because this is a book every woman can use, but since I work at a library and I also know many widows need to keep their money in their pocket, I'll say ask your library to order it! :)

Remember to check back tomorrow for Friday Funnies. ferree
