  1. My husband died just short of two years ago. Two months later, my daughter died in a car accident leaving her husband and two young granddaughters. My son-in-law is now seeing someone and I am struggling. Please pray that God will either change my heart or change the situation. Also, my beautiful granddaughters, age 5 and 2, need God's protection. I struggle with feeling pushed out of their lives as well as my daughter being replaced. I need much prayer.

  2. I'm so sorry for your losses--both your husband and daughter, and now this. My heart grieves with you and I will certainly pray for God to guide you, guard you, and work in your son-in-law as he grieves, too, and has this huge responsibility of fathering two little girls. Please continue to let us know how you're doing and anything else we can pray about with you.

  3. I hear your pain, and I am lifting you up to our Father in Heaven, who sees everything and knows what you and your family needs. Sometimes it feels like His answers come too slowly, but I pray you will keep focused on your Yoke-Bearer. May our Father send His angels to surround and protect your granddaughters. I also pray that if your son-in-law's new relationship is not right in the eyes of the Lord, that it might falter and fail. May the Lord place a Godly man in his life to mentor and guide him through his grief and understandable loneliness. And may God hold you on the hollow of His mighty Hand. In Christ's holy name, Amen.

  4. I will be praying for you sweet sister. I know your heart must be breaking, after so much tragedy. I speak Numbers 6:24 over you.. The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his coutenance upon you, and give you peace! Also I encourage you to stand on Jeremiah 29:11 for your entire family. Continue to build a relationship with your granddaughters when you can and love them, as well as your son in law. Continued prayers for you!

  5. Thank you for your understanding and your prayers. I continually seek God and have claimed Jer 29:11 constantly, although you know the frustration of the seemingly slow response of God. I love God and believe his promises, and it is difficult to get to all things working together for good.

    In God's great love,
    C

  6. I am so very sorry for your losses. In less than a year I have lost both of my dear grandmothers and my husband. Living through a season of loss is so difficult.

I wanted to let you know that I have a friend who has been in a similar situation to yours. She lost her daughter to kidney cancer (the disease that took my husband) several years ago. Her daughter left behind a husband and four children. He remarried less than two years later. My friend's situation may be different than yours, but she has embraced her new "daughter-in-law" and continues to have a close relationship with her grandchildren and her son-in-law. My friend is very open to helping others with their grief, and she's a committed Christian. She's been a great source of encouragement to me.

If you would like me to put you in touch with her, please contact me through my blog. If you click on my name here, it will take you to my profile and there's a link to my email there.

    Blessings!
