I'd sure never make perfect, but complete sounds very satisfying. love to you, ferreeFerree Bowman Hardyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10739485535852107104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382629264175127167.post-34099732405983139592013-02-22T14:10:46.055-05:002013-02-22T14:10:46.055-05:00Prayer Request

They said last night they were going to open her again and place a pacemaker in her. Their present major concern right now is the high fever & unstable vitals.
I ask for your prayers for her, the Doctors, Nurses and Family.

Thank you
Dodi / SC Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382629264175127167.post-34663326232297887872013-02-22T12:21:02.900-05:002013-02-22T12:21:02.900-05:00There were many times I burnt the food, not too ba...There were many times I burnt the food, not too bad to throw out, but not the best to eat... but too tired to do it over and ever so lovingly Tom would say

"my wife loves me so much she
serves burnt offerings"
OR.........
"where he leads me I will follow
and what he feeds me I will
swallow." (and just smile)

BUT -
He would never complain, turn away or act if enything was any different and would always say grace even for burnt offerings.

Whenever I would serve a beautiful dark brown supper I would jokingly say ...."well honey, I'm sorry but it will sustain life"

That's one of the things I miss about him was his grace to allow goof-ups and I did my share,(as did he) even if the house was untidy.... never would he complain.

We ALL need the grace of understanding and forgivness.

Several years ago I had a problem with the scripture "be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect" So I did some serious praying about this.....and in time God revealed to me that the word PERFECT in the Greek and Hebrew actually means COMPLETE.

Now the word perfect in the English Lexicon means and/or implies = to be without fault, excellence of the highest order.

What I believe the Lord was actually saying to his children is "be complete as your Father in heaven is complete"

Because I know I could never live up to this worlds system of perfection - the perfect figure, the perfect job, the perfect hair, the pepsodent smile, the perfect grade, perfect house, perfect wife, perfect children.. it's crazy the baggage this worlds system entraps us in.

But Grace frees us from all this world's entrapments, even the need to be perfect. (thank goodness - which is God)

L/dodiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
