It pleases Him when I rest and renew. I think I tended to see it simply as an impartial command because we needed it. But I think you've hit on a sweet truth that gives me a better look at our God. Also, since I posted this I've had a chance to think about how closely related rest is to trust. We really can't have one without the other, can we? Something to think about.
